Air France Launches a Stopover Programme
Air France has just launched a brand new Paris stopover programme in response to growing demand. You can now add a stopover of 1-4 nights on either your outbound or return journey up to 48 hours before departure.
Until now, there was the option to add a complimentary stopover to a reward booking, but no ‘official’ stopover programme that also covers cash bookings.
It’s very easy to add during the booking process by clicking on ‘extend by connection’:

The stopover has been launched in partnership with Extime Travel, with optional packages including a four or five-star hotel, airport transfers and a selection of experiences. You can view the offers via ‘Manage My Booking’.
Offerings at the moment include ‘Paris Must-See’ or ‘Disneyland Paris’. Extra trips will soon be added, including cultural, premium, gastronomic, and festive excursions.
Though Paris is too close to the UK to require a stopover during a long-haul journey, it’s a great opportunity to add a Paris city break or Disney visit to your trip, especially if you would have had a long layover at the airport. It’s surprising that it’s taken Air France this long to introduce a formal stopover programme, given how successful other airlines have been with a similar offering. View the top stopover programmes of 2026 here.
Air France has said that CDG will be the first major European hub to offer this. If all goes well, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Air France-KLM launch more stopover destinations such as Amsterdam.

British Airways Introduces an Exclusive New Gusbourne Sparkling Wine in Club World
British Airways is expanding its partnership with the award-winning Kent winery Gusbourne. From July, Club World customers will be able to enjoy Airbourne Reserve 2021, a limited-edition English sparkling wine created exclusively for British Airways.
The wine has been selected specifically for how it tastes at altitude. Master of Wine Tim Jackson chose the Pinot Noir-dominant blend for its richer, rounder and more textured style. As part of the summer English wine selection, British Airways is also serving Gusbourne’s Fifty One Degrees North 2016 in First and Gusbourne Rosé 2019 in Club World.
Even the bottle has been designed with a nod to Britain’s aviation heritage, with an Air Force blue label and an embossed herringbone pattern inspired by the twill fabric of original Royal Air Force uniforms, complemented by the distinctive RAF roundel.
Since releasing its first vintage in 2010, Gusbourne has become one of England’s leading sparkling wine producers. Its sparkling wines have won numerous international awards and are now exported to more than 40 markets worldwide.
British Airways has really invested in improving its wine programme in recent years, placing greater emphasis on premium British producers alongside established international labels. Many other airlines have been going down a similar route. Iberia, for example, serves Spanish Wines and Cava in Business Class, whereas Air France serves a fantastic selection of French wines chosen by its head sommelier.
It’s nice to be able to try something new that’s not available elsewhere. It’s arguably better than many Champagnes, but this comes down to your personal taste. It’s a more distinctive and interesting choice for Club World, and we look forward to trying it.
Triple Heathrow Rewards Points on Parking for New Members

If you’re driving to Heathrow this summer, and you’re not yet signed up for My Heathrow (previously Heathrow Rewards), there’s a good sign-up offer running at the moment. Unfortunately, if you’re already a My Heathrow member, you are NOT eligible for the triple points offer.
Until 3rd August 2026, anyone who registers for My Heathrow and pre-books with Official Heathrow Parking will earn triple Heathrow Rewards points on eligible parking bookings. That’s 3 points per £1 spent instead of 1, and you’ll also receive a 100-point welcome bonus for joining.
The promotion applies to Heathrow’s official parking options, including Park & Ride, Terminal Parking, Meet & Greet and Pod Parking at T5.
If you’re not familiar with My Heathrow, it’s Heathrow Airport’s free loyalty programme. You can earn points on a wide range of airport purchases, including official parking, shopping, dining and foreign currency. 500 points can be redeemed for a £10 discount on a future Official Heathrow Parking booking, or £5 to spend in a range of Heathrow eateries. With the cost of parking not cheap, offers like this can easily add up.
Keep in mind that though you can transfer points into miles with airline partners, you can’t do this with bonus points, so the 2 bonus points per £1 can only be redeemed within the Heathrow Rewards programme.
If you’ve already got an account, there are still plenty of ways to earn from airport parking. On Avios.com, you can earn 7 Avios per £1 for Heathrow parking, plus there are plenty of other partner companies and offers for other airports. There’s also the option of 250+ extra Virgin points on Virgin Red for booking with Holiday Extras.
Regardless of this offer, you should sign up for My Heathrow even if you only visit very occasionally.
