Bangkok Airways Avios Redemptions Just Got More Expensive
Bangkok Airways flights have long been one of the best uses of Qatar Avios thanks to the airline’s frequent-flyer partnership. Unfortunately, redemption rates have increased without warning, with some routes now costing up to 83% more.
Some of the increases include:
- Singapore to Koh Samui: Increased from 6,000 Avios to 11,000 Avios in Economy and from 12,500 to 20,000 in Business
- Bangkok to Koh Samui: 6,000 to 8,500 Avios in Economy and 12,500 to 14,000 in Business
- Bangkok to Phuket: 6,000 to 11,000 in Economy
- Koh Samui to Phuket: 6,000 to 7,000 in Economy
Bangkok Airways provides a better experience than many competitors. Even short Economy flights include complimentary meals, checked baggage and even lounge access at selected airports. Even with the increased pricing, these routes are still good value in many cases, though they are no longer the sweet spot they once were.
This is one of many Avios devaluations we’ve seen across loyalty programmes recently. It’s disappointing to see an increase on these routes!

Win 500,000 Flying Blue Miles and 500,000 ALL Reward Points
From now until 15th September 2026, you can be in with a chance to win 500,000 Flying Blue Miles and 500,000 ALL Reward points when you link your accounts together.
You can link your accounts through either ALL or Flying Blue. You’ll then need to fill out the competition entry form with your name, account email and membership number to enter the draw. If your accounts are already linked, you can still enter the draw.

As well as receiving up to 10 XP and two Status Nights as a welcome gift, you’ll be able to convert ALL Reward points into Flying Blue Miles. Better still, you’ll earn Flying Blue Miles on top of your usual ALL Reward points when you stay at participating Accor hotels, while eligible Air France and KLM flights will also earn ALL Reward points in addition to your Flying Blue Miles.
This draw is 100% worth entering. The 500,000 ALL Reward points alone are worth €10,000 in hotel credit, but you could also redeem them for experiences or convert them into airline miles with a range of partner programmes.
On top of that, 500,000 Flying Blue Miles could fund multiple reward flights in Business with Air France, KLM or SkyTeam partners. If you’re a Flying Blue Platinum member or above, you may even be able to redeem them for Air France La Première.
The draw will take place before 30th November, and the winner will be contacted before the end of the year.
