Qatar Avios Discount Deals – Book By 14th October

Since August, Qatar has run monthly Avios ‘Privilege Deals’ (including some Business Class destinations) with 25% discounts. The destination list rotates each month, with a short booking window.
Less than two days remain to book the October deals, and you must travel by 30th November.
Considering Qatar redemptions are often cheaper than BA redemptions, these are well worth a look. If you’re planning an impromptu trip, you can save a useful number of Avios.
Discounted one-way Business Class Avios rates + starting prices
- Amman – 29,250
- Ankara – 26,250
- Bucharest – 26,250
- Jeddah – 15,750
- Medina – 15,750
- Salalah – 10,500
- Tunis – 26,250
- Warsaw – 32,250
- Yerevan – 26,250
- Zanzibar – 26,250
While there are no UK destinations this month, you could book a positioning flight to Warsaw or Bucharest, then book a longer redemption via Doha. You’ll need to factor in the extra travel time, but the savings, especially in Business Class, can be substantial.
To give you an idea of the savings, Warsaw to Doha costs 43,000 Avios one-way in Business Class at the standard off-peak rate, but falls to 32,250 Avios with the discount, saving 10,750 Avios. Warsaw to Bangkok via Doha prices are 56,250 Avios instead of the usual 75,000 Avios in Business Class, saving 18,750 Avios.
Discounted one-way Economy Avios rates + starting prices:
- Casablanca – 16,875
- Dammam – 5,250
- Entebbe – 13,125
- Istanbul – 13,125
- Muscat – 5,250
- Nice – 16,125
- Sharjah – 5,250
- Singapore – 18,750
- Stockholm – 16,125
Singapore is an interesting option, with Economy redemptions to Doha reduced from 25,000 to 18,750 Avios one-way. You could also fly to London via Doha for 28,125 Avios, down from the usual 37,500, saving 9,375 Avios.
The 25% discount applies to Avios, not the cash element, and you’ll still need to pay taxes and fees. You can also use Avios + Cash.
You’ll need to book directly via the Qatar site, not BA, so you’ll need to move Avios to your Qatar account if they are elsewhere.
The discount won’t automatically apply to every flight to one of these destinations. Look for the ‘Privilege Deals’ label when searching for flights to double-check.
These deals are worth a look each month and may even inspire your next trip!
Native by Numa Fitzrovia Opens in a Former London Convent

A new apartment-style hotel has opened in central London, with rooms from £179 per night, just a short walk from Oxford Street and Soho.
The former convent on Margaret Street has been converted into Native by Numa Fitzrovia, with 29 rooms and apartments, including double rooms, compact studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, all with kitchens or kitchenettes.
Native by Numa is part of the Berlin-based Numa Group, which bought the British Native Places brand in 2024. You’ll already find Native properties in Mayfair, Bankside, and Hyde Park.
Some original features remain, including arched sash windows that bring plenty of natural light into the rooms. Colourful furnishings, retro-inspired furniture, and gold-finished bathrooms add a contemporary touch.

It’s a central base worth considering if you want something a bit different from the usual chain hotels, particularly if having your own kitchen appeals.
Philip Lassman, Managing Director UK & Ireland at Numa Group, said:
“Native by Numa Fitzrovia is a wonderful example of how we bring together the character of historic buildings with the flexibility and convenience today’s travellers are looking for. Fitzrovia has always had a creative and independent spirit, and we wanted to create a property that feels connected to that. The careful restoration of the former convent, alongside the thoughtful design approach, has created something truly unique within our London portfolio.”
New Malaysia Airlines AMEX Offer

A targeted Malaysia Airlines Amex offer has appeared on selected cards, giving £85 back as a statement credit when you spend £850 or more by 19th December 2026.
You must save the offer to your card before booking, and it’s limited to the first 25,000 cardmembers to save it. Flights must be booked directly through the Malaysia Airlines UK website and paid for in GBP.
Hotels, packages, upgrades and other non-flight purchases are excluded. You can reach the £850 threshold over multiple transactions, but the payment must be charged to your Amex by 19th December, not just booked by then.
Unlike many offers that get worse year on year, this one is slightly better than last year’s £60 back on £650 spend offer. The higher spending threshold won’t be an issue if you’re booking a Business Class fare, with a return from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur starting at £2,780. It’s also a good choice for connecting onward to Australia.
The £85 statement credit should appear within 30 days, although it can take longer. If you’re considering a trip to Asia or onward travel, check whether your card has been targeted.
