Manchester Aether Private Terminal deal
Manchester Airport is one I usually try to avoid, although I know some readers argue it has improved. I’m yet to hear much positive about it from recent friends’ experiences. However, I have been dying to try the new version of their private terminal, Aether, which opened in 2024. This allows you to experience a private jet lounge experience, or actually something better, as most don’t have much in the way of food. There is now a special summer offer which is great value and well worth a try.
£99 offer – hand luggage only
Arrival at The Private Terminal two hours before your flight
- One welcome drink on arrival
- One additional drink served with your meal
- One dish from a seasonal set menu curated by Adam Reid
- Tea and coffee
- Private security screening reserved exclusively for you
- Chauffeur-driven transfer direct to your gate
There are more expensive options with luggage as well.
You can find the offer page here.
My Lounge launches at Heathrow T3
No. 1 Lounges has announced that they will open their more casual lounge brand, My Lounge, at Heathrow for the first time. The lounge will feature open-plan zones, comfy spots to stretch out, a help-yourself grazing menu from fresh salads and all-day snacks to sweet treats and hot dishes, and a bar. There are also views of the runway.
There will be build-your-own breakfast baps in the morning and custom burrito bowls in the afternoon, with plenty of veggie and vegan options available throughout. The “make your own pancake” station will also be available.
To pass the time there is a games area with an arcade table and PlayStation as well as a TV den.
My Lounge at Heathrow T3 is located after security. Follow signs to Gate 1 – 42 and for ‘All Airline Lounges’. Bear left and continue to follow signs for ‘All Airline Lounges’. Turn left and follow signs to Gates 1 – 22 and ‘Airline Lounges B-J’, then turn left towards Gate 9. This lounge is signposted as ‘Lounge D’ and will be on the right-hand side.
Bookings are now open for visits from 31st August 2025. To guarantee your spot with Priority Pass, you can reserve in advance for a fee of £6 per person.

The Wine Flyer Double Avios offer

If you need to “top up” your Avios, I am a fan of using something like The Wine Flyer rather than buying miles. Unlike many of the online shopping offers, all Avios earned from The Wine Flyer are credited to your account within 24 hours. Not only do you get the Avios you need, but you also receive the case of wine or other alcoholic beverage that you ordered, as they offer a variety of options beyond wine. Even if it is slightly more expensive than elsewhere sometimes, it is still better than just buying miles if you would have bought wine somewhere else.
There is currently a Double Avios offer which gives 10 Avios per £1 spent instead of the usual 5 Avios. This offer is available on selected wines.
