Save 25% on Avios payment for 2026 holiday packages
In addition to paying for flights with Avios instead of cash, BA recently introduced pay with Avios for Holidays. Unlike a standard redemption, there is no need for flight availability. As long as the flight and hotel are available to buy for cash, you can use your Avios. Simply go through the process as if paying cash, and then you will be offered the chance to pay or part-pay with Avios on the “Add Extras” page. The exact Avios amount you can use may vary based on your Avios balance and the number of travellers. Note that this is not nearly as good a use of Avios as a straight redemption, but it is useful if you are struggling to use Avios, as there is no availability on the routes that you want.
There’s now a special offer which makes using Avios more attractive for BA Holidays. Members of The British Airways Club can use 25% fewer Avios on escapes with British Airways Holidays, when they pay with Avios Part Payment.
The 25% reduction applies to the standard Avios required when booking a holiday package. You need to book by midnight 3 February.
How to book a BA Holiday with Avios
- Log in to your account and choose a holiday package – try building your perfect holiday using BA’s Holiday Finder.
- Pick your savings – You’ll see Avios part payment options on the ‘Add extras’ page.
- Complete your booking as usual.
Even when using Avios to make a saving, you will still collect the bonus Avios and earn tier points on your holiday, plus Avios on the flight and any bonus tier points if applicable.
Boost your Avios by 500%
I have always maintained that before buying Avios, you should first check whether you can boost your recently earned Avios. That’s because it’s much cheaper than buying Avios. You can typically boost the Avios you have earned in the last 30 days by up to 300%, with 100% or 200%available as well. Obviously, this only works if you have earned Avios in the last 30 days, but it is always worth a look since online shopping through the Avios portal counts along with most other Avios earning methods, as well as flying.
Now, even if you have not earned any Avios in the last month, you can boost your Avios for a limited period. IAG Loyalty has announced that it will give members the chance to boost the Avios they collected in 2025 and up to now in 2026 by a record 500%.
Up to 40% off SAS flights
If you are a member of SAS Eurobonus, you may have received an email about 40% off, which says that it is for Gold members only. However, if you actually click on the link, there is no mention of being Gold.
The promotion page only mentions being a Eurobonus member although the tab heading is Silver or Gold.
The sale, sadly, is only for economy flights but applies to short and long haul.
