OFFERS: Double Avios BA Holidays offer, Hilton’s first 2026 promo and RFF 30% off

Double Avios on BA Holidays package

If you are debating where to go on holiday, BA has a new Double Bonus Avios Offer package, which entitles members of the British Airways Club to collect double bonus Avios on their holiday when booking a 2026 Doha flight and hotel holiday package before 27 January. You need to book a flight and hotel package with the flight originating from the UK.  You will earn 2 Avios per £1 spent on Qualifying Holidays, meaning one additional Avios per £1 spent on the holiday element of the trip. Flight Avios will be awarded as standard and may be awarded at separate times.
 
If you are used to places like Dubai, Doha is definitely quieter, but if you are looking for somewhere warm for a winter holiday, it can be better value than Dubai. Hotels are usually modern and of a high standard. If you are after a luxury hotel, there are plenty to choose from with most international names represented, such as Intercontinental and Kempinski. You can read our review of the Ritz-Carlton Doha here. Like Dubai, there is plenty of shopping and plenty to do, but not on the scale of Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

First stay bonus promotion from Hilton for 2026

Hilton’s latest stay bonus promotion has now been announced and will run from 15 January to 30 April 2026. 

The promotion is the standard 2,000 Bonus Points on every stay, which is better for those travellers who do lots of short, low-cost stays. If youare making more expensive stays, this isn’t the best promotion unless you do lots of them. 

You will need to register in advance, but it will apply to existing bookings as long as you register before your stay. If your stay starts before 15 January but you check out on or after 15 January, it will still count. It does not mention any restriction on award stays, so I would assume they will count.

Reward Flight Finder 30% off

If you struggle to find seats with your Avios or companion voucher, the answer is to use a seat finder service such as Reward Flight Finder. As well as searching an entire year’s worth of Avios flights, you can also search by your dates to see which destinations have flights available, such as business or first class. There is also now a feature where you can see which routes feature Club Suites. 

RFF has just launched a sale for 30% 0ff, so it is a good time to consider signing up. The sale runs from Monday 12 January until Sunday 18 January (midnight). You can also use the offer if you an existing customer and want to upgrade your membership.

Whereas prior to 31Dec24, I would have actively considered the BAH double Avios offer, after the inception of the BA Club with its utterly ludicrous tier points thresholds, and then the Autumn25 Avios devaluation, I can see no reason to bother. I already have hundreds of thousands of Avios to burn through before BA devalues them even further and I am simply not inclined to divert thousands of pounds into BA/IAG’s coffers. It is a straightforward commercial decision on my part. It will be interesting to see just how many others are pursuing their newfound commercial freedom in response to BA delivering us a middle finger.
