Perhaps because it is half-term or maybe because the weather is starting to turn, the airlines are launching sales this week. Here is a roundup of the current discounts and sales.
In this post:
Qatar Airways up to 20% off
Most of Qatar’s offers are for Privilege Club members so it’s worth joining even if you don’t plan to credit your flights to the scheme.
The new offer is for up to 20% off economy and business class when you use the code OCTPC25. It is not strictly 20% off as it only applies to the flight cost, not the taxes and charges, but it is worth checking if the discount makes a difference to the flights you were considering. There’s a long travel period too which is useful. The offer applies across Europe, so it’s worth checking some non-UK departure points for the best deals.
- Offer period: 07 – 17 October 2025
- Travel period: 07 October 2025 – 30 September 2026
The bad news is that the discount is staggered as follows for business class:
Up to 20% off Business Class to the following destinations:
- China, Nepal, Seychelles, Vietnam
Up to 15% off Business Class to the following destinations:
- Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iraq, Maldives, Oman, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates
Up to 10% off Business Class to the following destinations:
- Australia, India, Japan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia
Up to 6% off Business Class to the following destinations:
- Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Tanzania, Thailand
It is interesting that they are spelling out the different discounts that apply to different classes, which I have not seen before. This may explain the differences that have been noted between the stated discount and the actual price displayed.
The class with the biggest discount appears to be P, which is Business Class Lite. This does not include lounge access, but you can use the Qatar frequent flyer lounges if you have oneworld status, which I think are pretty good. You can also pay to enter the lounges. I would only do this if you had a long layover and were using the new Garden lounge, as it is not cheap.

Etihad business class sale until 9 October

Etihad has made huge improvements to its business class experience over the last few years with new suites and a new airport experience. The latest sale has just started and only runs until 9 October, so you’d better be quick if you want to take advantage.
Unlike Qatar, you can only book flights for departure until 15 December 2025.
The prices are not amazing from the UK, but there are a few decent ones. Again, the sale is on from most of Europe, so make sure you look at various departure points.
From London there is:
- Abu Dhabi £1951
- Hanoi £2002
- Hong Kong £2119
- Kuala Lumpur £2002
- Muscat £1792
- Mumbai £1765
You can check prices and book here.
20% off Vueling on selected routes
I recently flew Vueling for the first time and was pleasantly surprised overall. I’d say it is comparable to EasyJet and you can also earn Avios with them (you have to have a separate Vueling account though).
So if you fancy giving them a try, there’s a new offer to make it even cheaper.
The sale runs until Thursday 9 October and is available for flights from 1 November to 31 January 2026. Flights start from £31 one way.
You can find the offer page here.
Finnair – Oslo to Dubai for £1003

The Finnair winter sale is on until 21 October for travel between 26 October 2025–31 May 2026. However, the exact dates you can fly depend on the destination. Again, this applies to Europe, not just the UK. If you plan to fly from the UK, it’s worth checking the short-haul flights as Finnair operates long-haul aircraft from Heathrow every day as well as short-haul. These feature the new business class seats and are great for such short flights.
Here are some example business class prices:
- Oslo to Dubai £1003
- Oslo to Hong Kong £1535
- Stockholm to Singapore £1722
- Stockholm to Seoul £1501
- Stockholm to Singapore £1722
- London to Bangkok £1978
- London to Hong Kong £1806
- Edinburgh to Seoul £1721
If you don’t mind flying in economy on short-haul, there are some good one-way prices from London:
- Helsinki £89
- Riga, Tallin, Villnius £99
