Qatar Airways extra sale discount & Australia from £1715
If you have been looking at the latest Qatar sale ex EU fares from Scandinavia that I wrote about yesterday, there is an additional 5% discount to be had by using the code QRDEAL. If you find a good non-sale economy or business class fare then you can get 15% discount with the same code. You could combine this with a fare I found yesterday for Qatar’s new service to Canberra where you could easily connect on to Sydney or Melbourne with a short flight. The cheapest I found the fare from Stockholm was £1715 per person with 2 people travelling.

Qatar pre-order dining expands
I previously reported that Qatar had started pre-order dining on certain routes out of Doha.
Qatar Airways’ Pre-select Dining will now be available for those flying long-haul to Africa and Asia, joining Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Passengers travelling in First and Business Class will have the opportunity to pre-select one main course from the à la carte onboard menu, as far as 14 days in advance and up to 24 hours before take-off. This is in addition to the existing Dining-on-Demand service already available for First and Business Class passengers. I would prefer 28 days like BA, as it means you won’t have to think about it when you are travelling on a longer trip.
To pre-select a premium class meal, you log into ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website and choose from the menu available on the flight. Meals can also be ordered through the Qatar Airways app.
