If you prefer to take your family holidays over October half-term, we’ve got you. Here are some of the best Avios reward seat availability for British Airways and Iberia using Avios at the moment. Take a look with Reward Flight Finder:
Short Haul
London City, Heathrow – Barcelona, with British Airways

There’s some pretty good reward seat availability in Economy and Business Class for the October holidays, with a few days a week having 6 seats in each cabin to book.
London Gatwick – Bordeaux, with British Airways
Most days across half term, and the days before have availability in both Economy and Business Class. A good number of these days have 4 seats in Economy and 2 in Business Class to book with points.
London Heathrow – Gibraltar, with British Airways

You’ll find a couple of lovely options in Economy and Business Class, having 4 seats in Economy and 3 seats in the premium cabin.
London Heathrow – Hannover, with British Airways
You’ll find a ton of availability to book with Avios across half term. Both cabins have loads of days with 6 seats to book.
London City, Heathrow – Milan, with British Airways

Seats are plentiful for October; most days have 6 Economy and 4 Business Class seats to book with your Avios balance.
London Gatwick – Porto, with British Airways
There are still a few dates with plenty of availability, where some days show 4 seats in Economy and 4 in Business Class.
Long Haul
London Heathrow – Boston, with British Airways and Iberia

A key city for the US Independence anniversary celebrations in 2026. At the moment, there are plenty of Premium Economy and Business Class seats across October and the start of November if you fly direct with British Airways. Lots of dates still have 6 seats in each cabin.
If you’re looking to fly Iberia, you’ll need to start your trip in London and change over in Madrid, then board your Boston flight – that actually costs fewer Avios, and there are plentiful reward seats across all cabins if you opt to do it this way.
London Gatwick- Kingston, with British Airways
If you’re happy to fly Premium Economy, you’ll find a solid number of reward seats for half term, with some days having 6 seats to book with Avios. However, there’s nothing for Business Class. Set RFF Alerts for your best chance to snap those up if BA release any more.
London Gatwick – Port of Spain, British Airways

Flights operate a few days a week, and at the moment, Premium Economy reward seats are looking great for October, with some days having 6 seats. Business Class seats also has good availability, with some dates having 5 seats.
London Gatwick – St Lucia, with British Airways
Premium Economy is really strong for a half-term getaway – most days have 6 seats to book with points. There’s nothing for Business Class at the moment, but BA may release some closer to the scheduled flight time, so set RFF Alerts and try your luck.
London Heathrow – San Francisco, with British Airways

Premium Economy availability is great for October and November 2026, with lots of days having 6 seats. There’s a tiny sliver of Business Class availability over half term – but RFF Alerts may well come in handy here.
