The BA Luxury sale is now live. The sale fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT 23 May 2017. The travel periods vary for each destination but some of them go up to March 2018.
Overall the sale is nothing to get excited about. The fares are pretty similar to the last sale. However, for fares out of London versus the hassle of an Ex EU, there are some reasonable prices on certain routes. I have featured a few reader questions about Florida recently and there are some good deals to be had there. The Club Europe deals are also generally good value in my view. Even though officially only 2 cities are listed as being in the First Class sale, some people have been finding that it only costs £300 extra to upgrade to First on one leg on other routes. If you are looking at Club World, it’s probably worth double checking the difference with First as well.
It would also be worth comparing the cost of flight only with a holiday booking, as there are some good prices in the holiday sale. These represent better value than the Club World flights alone, if you can find a hotel you want for the right price.
You can also save up to £100 in addition on new sale holiday bookings where a minimum spend is met. To get the additional discount, you must book by 23:59 GMT 9 May 2017 and travel between 4 May 2017- 31 March 2018. The savings are per booking, not per person. Holiday bookings include flight + hotel and flight + car bookings.
Total spend £2500 per booking – save £100 per booking.
Total cost of £1250 per booking – save £50 per booking.
Total cost of £750 per booking – save £25 per booking (T&C say only flight plus car for this one)
