Double XP Points with Flying Blue Until 31st August for £199

Flying Blue logo

Flying Blue has launched a targeted offer for selected members to double their XP (Experience Points) for £199, valid for flights until 31st August 2025. You can only sign up if you’ve received the offer by email, which comes from [email protected]. The offer applies only to flights marketed and operated by Air France and KLM.

Some members received a similar email earlier this year with a different expiry. The latest version targets customers in the UK and Italy, likely aimed at BAEC and ITA Volare members.

Worth it?

The offer makes it easier to earn Flying Blue status, but it’s important to consider whether it’s worth £199 before signing up. The offer applies to existing and future bookings until 31st August. Check how far the double XP could take you. If it gets you to the next tier or close enough to bridge the gap within your qualification period, it could be a worthwhile investment!

For Flying Blue status, you need to earn:

Flying Blue Status Number of XP Needed
Silver 100 XP
Gold 180 XP
Platinum 300 XP
Ultimate 900 UXP

It’s important to note that when you reach a new status level, the XP for that level is deducted from your balance, and your XP counter resets to zero. To progress through the tiers, you would need to earn:

  • Silver: 100 XP

  • Gold: 100 XP (for Silver) + 180 XP = 280 XP

  • Platinum: 280 XP (for Gold) + 300 XP = 580 XP

Remember, even when your membership year runs out, it’s a soft landing, meaning you’ll only move down one membership level. Earning Platinum now could get you status for years to come, even if you drop to Gold next year and Silver the year after, keeping elite perks going for years.

Flying Blue status levels

Once you have status, you can enjoy a huge number of benefits, from earning more miles per €1 spent to SkyTeam benefits. Read our Flying Blue guide for in-depth information.

Things to Note

  • Additional points earned via this offer do not count towards UXP (Ultimate Experience Points)
  • This offer is processed via statusmatch.com.

Earn Avios with Uber via Aer Lingus + 500 Bonus Avios Offer

Earn Avios with Uber via Aer Lingus

If you’re an Aer Lingus AerClub member, you can now collect Avios through journeys taken using the Uber app in Ireland and the UK. Even better, if you link your AerClub and Uber accounts via the Uber app and complete a trip before 31st July, you will receive 500 bonus Avios.

To start collecting Avios, you must link your AerClub and Uber accounts. To do so, simply enter your AerClub details into the Uber app’s settings section.

Once linked, you will earn 1 Avios for every €1 spent on journeys via the Uber app in Ireland and the UK. Avios will automatically appear after each ride. Although this may seem like a small amount at first glance, Avios can add up, and it’s automatic, so you may as well! The bonus Avios alone are worth

Remember, you can opt to collect Avios with the British Airways Club by linking your account to Uber instead. You can earn 1 Avios per £1 spent. This has slightly less value than the 1 Avios per €1 spent with AerClub.

 LeShuttle Partners with Avios

LeShuttle partners with Avios

You can now earn and spend Avios on Channel crossings for the first time! From next week, the new Club LeShuttle loyalty programme will go live, joining other non-air travel Avios earning options such as hotel and retail partners.

LeShuttle operates a cross-channel service from Folkestone to Calais in 35 minutes. Standard tickets start at £117 per vehicle each way, and tickets for a day trip or overnight stay start from as little as £59 each way.

You will earn 6 Avios per £1 spent on Flexiplus tickets and 3 Avios per £1 spent on Day Trip & Overnight, Short Stay Saver, Standard and Standard Plus tickets.

You can purchase LeShuttle vouchers for 1,000 Avios for £5. However, this is not a great value redemption. Each Avios would be worth 0.5p. You can get much better value per Avios by finding fantastic flight redemption deals instead! Your voucher can be purchased via Avios.com, and a voucher code will be emailed to you to add to your LeShuttle booking. The maximum voucher redemption amount is £500.

That said, LeShuttle’s per-vehicle pricing makes this especially rewarding for families or groups, as one fare covers everyone.

How to Collect Avios with LeShuttle.

When you sign up for Club LeShuttle, you will get access to promotions and rewards for frequent travel.

  1. Sign up and log in to your account.
  2. Go to My Account and add your British Airways number.
  3. Search for the date and time you want to travel and follow the steps on the LeShuttle website to complete your booking.
  4. You will receive your Avios 30 days after you complete your trip.

Things to Note

  • Certain payments will not earn you Avios. This includes payments for things like pets, insurance and payments on the day of travel.
  • Payments not using a credit or debit card or promotional fares will not earn Avios

Hi Sylvie – I’d recommend to update the information regarding XP needed to reach the various status levels – the tiers are steps.

For Silver you need 100, for Gold you need 280, for Platinum you need 580, etc.

Hi Rick, thanks for your comment. I’ve made an update to make this clearer. The segment now shows the XP needed to reach each tier + what that means when the XP for that tier is deducted from the counter.

great submit, very informative. I ponder why the opposite specialists of this
sector do not notice this. You must continue your writing.
I am sure, you have a huge readers’ base already!

@british_airways has a fun new way to mix a martin @british_airways has a fun new way to mix a martini table side in their Concorde Room at Heathrow T5. Those flying in First class or holding Gold Guest List or Premier status can access the exclusive lounge. The machine precision weighs each ingredient in a special “Turbine” martini recipe from top class mixologist @mrlyan Although the recipe calls for Aviation Gin you can substitute it for another gin or vodka. The cleverly designed mixer then mixes it to precision. Inside it looks just like a jet engine. You can finish with a twist of lemon or olives.
