Expedia and Ebookers tip
I spoke about the benefits of booking flights using Ebookers and Expedia here. They are both worth considering for hotels too, depending on the cashback available. Ebookers has the edge for me since they usually offer at least 10% cashback plus their own rewards plus of up to 5%. Another way to get the price down is to make sure that you have signed in with them to get the member price. This doesn’t always make a difference but it is well worth checking. This applies particularly with independent or smaller chain hotels. Here is the difference on a hotel in Vietnam:

Malmaison summer sale
The Malmaison summer sale is now on until tomorrow Sunday 22nd May. The offer includes a room, continental breakfast and two courses from the seasonal Fixed Price Menu all from £109 for two people. You will, however, have to pay in full at the time of booking and it will be are non-refundable. You can stay from 19th June until 4th September for the Scottish and Belfast properties and 21st July until 4th September for most other properties. Edinburgh is not available on the offer.

Looking at the usual prices, taking Cheltenham for example, this is a good deal. To book a room during the summer months rooms starts at around £139 including breakfast. With this offer you get £40 extra of food included for the same price, so if you would dine in the hotel it is well worth booking. Fairmont hotels up to 50% off
If you are considering a Fairmont hotel, then it is worth signing up for their Presidents club, as they currently have some good offers on. They regularly offer Fairmont ‘Moments’ promotions just for members. It is free to join.
Fairmont are 5*, good quality hotels and are now part of Accor. They have a good range of hotels across the world from the Caribbean to the Far East. I have personally stayed at The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi, The Fairmont Royal York, Toronto and the Fairmont Singapore and I would recommend any of them.
