Brewdog Speedbird is back
If you are a beer lover you may remember the original Brewdog beer made for BA’s centenary, Speedbird 100. BA has brought back Speedbird “OG” as they are now calling it. The IPA is brewed in Aberdeenshire, Speedbird OG and has a “sharp citrus aroma, zesty orange, and subtle hints of sherbet.”
It is now available for pre-order across domestic and short-haul flights. You can pre-order here.
IHG targeted up to 8 Bonus Elite Night Credits
IHG is sending out targeted offers for people to get extra elite night credits to help you reach the next tier of IHG status. My offer was to stay four nights from 1 September to 10 October 2023, to earn 4 Bonus Elite Night Credits. It is interesting as I already have four nights booked. However, you can actually use the offer twice giving a total of 8 bonus elite nights.
Stays booked using Reward Nights or Points & Cash are not Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Offer. Also, bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com do not qualify either. If you did not get the email it may not let you register for the offer, but always worth a try!

I got the same IHG offer and like you already have nights booked, 5 in my case so if I can lbook an additional 3 then I’ll get maximum benefit …

Sadly the Heathrow Aspire lounge offer only appears to be available until end December 2023.
I was offered the alternative variation of an extra 20,000 standard points as noted here: https://loyaltylobby.com/2023/08/24/ihg-one-rewards-exclusive-bonus-points-elite-night-offers-for-september-1-october-10-2023-post-yours/ I suspect this was either due to the fact that I’m already well on the way to requalifying, or the fact that my status has already been extended to the end of 2024, due to the closure of the IHG credit card.
That’s not a bad deal at all.
