70% Avios bonus with a catch
Buy or gift Avios from Finnair between 3–17 April 2024, and you will receive up to a 70% bonus on all Avios when you buy through Finnair. There are two sets of bonus rates and you’ll need to buy by 7 April to get the best deal.
70% is about the highest bonus we ever see, so if you want to buy a lot, it is a decent deal. However, the catch is that currently you can’t transfer Avios from Finnair to other airlines. This is expected in the next couple of months. However, one way around it would be to redeem directly from Finnair, but that doesn’t help if you have most of your Avios in BA!

Otherwise, there is a 50% Avios bonus promotion with Qatar Airways, or you could look at boosting recently earned Avios with BA by three times at a very reasonable rate.
Here are the promotion rates:
3–7 April
- buy 5,000–49,000 Avios to get a 30% bonus
- buy 50,000–99,000 Avios to a 50% bonus
- buy 100,000–200,000 Avios to get a 70% bonus
8–17 April
- buy 5,000–49,000 Avios to get a 30% bonus
- buy 50,000–200,000 Avios to a 50% bonus

25,000 Avios off Qatar redemptions
If you are planning an Avios redemption, it could be worth considering Qatar Airways if you are flying east or south. Qatar Airways is offering a generous chunk of Avios back when you book a redemption with them. You can move Avios instantly from your BA Executive account to Qatar Airways by linking the accounts.
You get 10,000 bonus Avios for Economy and 25,000 Bonus Avios for Business or First Class flights. The bad news is that as it is, in effect, an Avios bonus, you will need to have the full amount in your account to start off with for the redemption.
The offer is only for those residing in the UK for flights originating from the United Kingdom. The flights must be return flights – multi-city and one-way won’t count. If you do a mixed-class redemption, you will only get the economy Avios bonus.
How the offer works
- Log in or sign up to Privilege Club ( you have to wait 24 hours after signing up to register for the offer)
- Select ‘My Offers’ on the menu
- Click to register for the offer by 15 April
- Book an award flight with Qatar Airways for travel between 14 March 2024 – 30 June 2024
Your Avios will be automatically credited to your Privilege Club account within 30 days after the award flight has been completed.

To ensure I get all Tier Points to my BA Exec Club account, do I add my BAEC number during the registration process for Finnair’s and Qatar’s reward schemes? Thanks.
No you will not get BA tier points unless you credit flights when you book them and add your number then.
