New Priority Pass lounge for Manchester
Aspire, Swissport International’s airport hospitality brand, has announced the opening of a new lounge at Manchester Airport. This will be Aspire’s third lounge at this airport and the second in Terminal 2, following recent openings at Liverpool and Birmingham airports. In terminal 2, there is currently an Aspire lounge and the Escape lounge.
The new lounge will open in late August 2026 and is centrally located in Terminal 2. Even if you don’t use the new one, the 300-seat capacity should ease crowding in the other Priority Pass and paid-for lounges. All UK Aspire Lounges allow you to pre-book your space for a small fee of £6 when using a Priority Pass, and you also get credits for this with the Amex Platinum.
“We’re delighted to announce our third lounge at Manchester Airport and second in Terminal 2. With a capacity of over 300, our guests can be assured of world-class, award-winning hospitality and a lounge designed to reflect our almost 40 years of experience in partnership with the airport. With a strong forward pipeline and significant continuous improvement projects to enhance the guest experience, Aspire has real momentum in the UK & Ireland as part of our global investment plan,” said James Millett, Director of Lounges UK&I and Global Customer Innovation at Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality.
The lounge has been designed with all types of passengers in mind, with spaces for small groups and families to socialise together, places to dine as well as a quiet area and private work rooms. The decoration and design are designed to feel calm along with artwork reminiscent of Manchester’s industrial heritage.
BA currently uses the rather disappointing Escape lounge. It will be interesting to see if they take the opportunity to switch to the new lounge to give their customers a better experience.
For pre-bookings, prices start at £46.99 for adults and £31.99 for children aged 2-11.
