Barbados Fairmont Royal Pavillion 5* deal

The Fairmont in Barbados is situated on one of the best beaches in Barbados, in my opinion. It has been recently renovated with modern rooms, and it is also well situated on the west coast for getting out and about. You can read my review here. 

It usually is extremely expensive at around £600 a night upwards. However, for the low season, they have a great deal with TravelZoo for $999 (~£810) per room for 3 nights in a Luxury Oceanfront Room, which also includes daily breakfast, fast-track airport service on arrival and $100 food-and-beverage credit.

The offer runs for stays from 31 March to 30 Sept 2023. You have to buy a voucher and then call or email to find availability. If you can’t get the availability you want, then you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, so I’d advise booking your room as soon as you buy the voucher.

Hilton 100% “mystery” bonus

Hilton has launched a new bonus for buying points. Usually, I don’t recommend buying points except for very expensive hotels. Still, given the ridiculously high hotel prices in many places, such as the US, it is definitely worth doing your sums to see if it makes sense. I checked my account and was offered a 100% bonus as were other people I checked with. To find out, just go to the buy points page here and then sign in. 

A minimum of 5,000 Points purchase is required to qualify for the bonus offer. Members can purchase up to 240,000 Points during this promotion. The offer ends 9 May 2023

  1. Qatar have an even better deal to CPT. open jaw departing/returning Vienna or Milan for around £1499. Can even get return to CDG for the same price, but it pushes it up to £2k. Most flights outbound flight include lounge access if starting in MXP or VIE, but not if starting in CDG. Combination of 787 and 32O on the MXP and VIE sectors depending on day of the week. CDG mostly non q-suite 777. CPT sectors all seem to be q-suites.

  2. Meant return to CDG still £1499 but if starting in CDG goes up to £2K

  3. Out of interest, when did Sofia switch to 90 TPs each way? I thought it was 80 each way?

    1. Japan is very expensive right now. Seoul there are a few deals around £1500 with Air France KLM when they have a sale on. Seoul will be your best bet for a decent deal.

  5. How do you get the OSL – BKK – AMS routing and prices? Have tried multi-city on ITA Matrix but get no flight info.

    1. I managed to get it on Matrix just inputting the usual basics although I may have added DOH as the connection point I think but the easiest way is to just pick some dates and try it on google flight using multi city. I think it has to be mid week from memory.
