Kaligo – earn up to 10,000 bonus Avios
I wrote about Kaligo in this earlier article, on the their last promotion. Kaligo offer the same large selection and similar rates for hotels you get elsewhere on the web. In addition you earn miles or points for a range of airline programs including British Airways, Avios, Qatar, Singapore Airlines, Flying Blue and Virgin Atlantic.
It’s completely free to create an account. When you search for hotels, you choose your preferred loyalty program for earning points. The website then shows you exactly how many points or miles each booking earns. The miles or points are automatically credited into the program you’ve chosen after your booking, but it can take up to 6 weeks. Read the terms of the hotels carefully before booking, as most are non refundable.
There is now a new promotion in conjunction with BA Executive Club. You can earn 10,000 bonus Avios when you spend £1,000 or 5,000 bonus Avios when you spend between £500 – £999.99. You don’t have to spend it all in one go, as long as you reach the target spend by the deadline. That’s as well as the usual 5-20 Avios you get for every £1 spent. You can, of course, get even more if you use a BA or Lloyds Avios credit card when booking. Prices are generally similar to the big hotel booking sites but you can’t get cashback, of course.
To be eligible for the promotion, you must enrol with Kaligo.com at www.kaligo.com/ba-avios-promo using your email address and select British Airways Executive Club Avios as the earning preference. Earn Avios with No 1 Lounges & get a discounted rate
I wrote about the special offer that No 1 lounges are offering for £22.50 in this article. The offer is now even better as you can now collect Avios, as well as receiving the discount. The Avios offer applies when you book an airport lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3, Gatwick, Birmingham and Edinburgh. You will need an avios.com account rather than BA Executive club to get the Avios.
To get the special price and Avios, you need to pre-book an airport lounge online via No1 Lounges. You will pay a discounted entry fee of £22.50 and receive 750 Avios. The Avios are awarded per booking so you may want to book separately if you are travelling with other people with an Avios account. You can also pay for the lounge at the airport on the day and if you give your Avios membership number, you will get a £5 discount and receive 500 Avios. As an added bonus as of January 2017 there is now complimentary Prosecco as well as wines, beers and spirits. Priority security is also included at Gatwick (guaranteed for visits until the end of May only), Birmingham and Edinburgh.
