Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow – Parking Package
Parking at Heathrow is currently ridiculously expensive. I was looking for a stay of 2 days, and they wanted £75 for the long-term car park! The Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow has a decent deal on its Parking Package with Stay, Park and Fly from £125 with up to 15 days of parking included in your rate.
Package includes 2, 4, 8 or 15 days’ car parking in the hotel car park. I found eight days parking with one night for £159, which seems very reasonable. You should join Radisson Rewards if you are not already a member to get the best price.
First Wing Security Temporary Closure dates
More information is coming to light about the planned closure of the First Wing in January. You can read more details here. I have now seen several estimates being given out by staff at Heathrow ranging between 4-7th January, so it looks like it will be closing at the end of the first week of January.
Finnair Avios date announced
Finnair had announced that it planned to change to Avios as its loyalty currency in early 2024. The formal date has now been announced as 9 March. It is good news for BA Avios collectors as it will mean you can use Avios to upgrade on Finnair. You will be able to easily transfer Avios between the two airline loyalty schemes. You can already use your BA Avios to redeem for Finnair flights.
Their website says “As of 9 March 2024, you will collect Avios, our new loyalty currency, and tier points based on purchases made with Finnair. We will also introduce new milestone benefits within tiers, and new tier limits. You will be able to reach tiers based on the number of flights until the end of February. If your tracking period ends in January or February, please check our website to see how we take your situation into account.”
£60 discount on KLM
KLM has launched a discount code that entitles recipients to a reduction of £60 on a ticket to any destination. There are only a small number of discounts available, but it is worth a try.
The round-trip ticket must be purchased on the klm.co.uk website and qualifying flights must meet all of the following conditions:
- Marketing carrier: KLM, Air France
- Operating carrier: KLM, KLM Cityhopper, Air France & Air France Hop, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Airlines.
- Booking made: between 15/12/2023 and 22/12/2023
- Travel dates: between 15/01/2024 and 30/06/2024
- Travel out of any 17 UK departing airports
- Class of travel: Economy Class, Premium Comfort class & Business Class
- Minimum price of the ticket (for the beneficiary and other booked passengers) before the reduction and application of any taxes, surcharges and service charges: £170
